Zoltan is specialised on biodiversity and protected area management issues with special focus on forests and freshwater habitats.

He is a member of the World Commission on Protected Areas and the Commission on Ecosystem Management where he is a contributor to the Rewilding Thematic Group. He has experience in running conservation and research projects on the ground. His mother tongue is Hungarian, and speaks fluent English and currently working on his Italian.
